On May 20, 2006, Coshocton Democrats collected food for hungry people in Coshocton County by participating in the Salvation Army’s Grocery Cart Project. Assisting in this effort were County Treasurer Michelle Darner, Richard Tompkins, Dennis Meiser and Bob Fetters from City Counsel, County Recorder Dave Dilly, Candidate for County Commissioner Curtis Lee, John Rettos, Sheryl Murray, Cheryl Willis and Jetta Mencer.

All donations made that day at Buehlers Market went directly to the Salvation Army Food Pantry. The Salvation Army received $88.39 and 690 food items which was more than 170 bags of groceries due to our efforts.  This is an annual effort to remember the less fortunate in our community.
